TYPES OF MUSIC LESSONS OFFERED:
- Guitar lessons, electric or acoustic (beginner to professional)
- Bass and banjo lessons (beginner to intermediate)
- Learn to write songs and compose music on your instrument of choice
- You’ll also learn theory and sight-reading, and develop ear-training.
For beginners: learn everything you need to know to start playing tunes after your very first lesson.
For intermediate students: take your playing to the next level and beyond.
For professional and advanced musicians: learn new styles (rock musicians learn to play jazz; blues players learn to play rock, etc.) Learn performance and audition tips and tricks.
Whatever your instrument of choice, you’ll get theory, sight-reading and ear-training incorporated into your lesson plan so that you’ll be able to read music and write your own. If you’re more interested in songwriting, we’ll focus on that. Because each student is different, each lesson is tailored to your individual needs and desires.
Lessons are available where and when you want them.
I will come to you at your home or office. Or you can take your lessons in my studio.
FEES AND POLICIES:
There are no long-term commitments but lesson fees are due and payable at the beginning of each month for the full month (4 or 5 lessons per month, depending on the day and dates of your lessons).
How does that work? I’m writing this in November 2009 and there are five Mondays in this month. So students taking a Monday lesson would pay for all five November lessons at their first lesson of the month. But there are only four Thursdays in November and one of those Thursdays is Thanksgiving. So, students who take lessons on Thursday would pay for three November lessons on the first Thursday in November.
If you cancel a lesson with at least 24 hours notice, I will attempt to re-schedule your lesson without additional charge. No refunds can be given for missed lessons and only one lesson re-schedule per month, please.
If you cancel a lesson but give me less than 24 hours notice, that lesson fee must, unfortunately, be forfeited. Please remember that you’re paying for my time. Once I book your lesson, I can’t book anyone else in that time slot.
